[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hard to believe that’s October done with already! And although it’s sped by, the month has been rich with great books, and we wanted to share the most popular books for the month of October…
First up and most popular were the Bookgroup Books for October and November respectively, Petina Gappah’s The Book of Memory and this month’s Book Group title, Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff. Followed closely by the announcement of Graeme Macrae Burnet’s His Bloody Project, which is on the shortlist of this year’s Man Booker Prize.
Then we had some big autumnal fiction releases hot of the press, and it’s hard to toss-up between which was more hotly anticipated – Autumn by Ali Smith or Margaret Atwood’s interpretation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, Hag-Seed.
Also popular in October were Malachy Tallack’s new exploration of mysterious lands, beautifully illustrated by Katie Scott, The Un-discovered Islands, and Ransome Riggs’s ornate and exquisite Tales of the Peculiar, suitable for teens and up.
A great, and very autumnal-hued selection![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
