COVID LOCKDOWN (from 26th December) SHIPPING AND RETURNS NOTICE:
Though our shop at 68 St Stephen Street is closed for browsing in line with government COVID measures as of 26th December you can still order via our online shop 24/7. We have local pick up available, weekly Saturday deliveries by bicycle courier for Edinburgh postcodes, or nationwide delivery if you are ordering from outside of Edinburgh.
Just select the relevant option at checkout.
Any items purchased online from Golden Hare Books are available for free local pick up in store during our opening hours. However, if you aren't lucky enough to live in beautiful Edinburgh, but you'd still like to shop with Golden Hare - we can deliver your books to you! Just select the relevant option at checkout.
Please read the following information before placing your order for delivery with us.
We can deliver your books anywhere in the UK for a flat rate of £5, except for small items (eg. cards/vouchers) which will be £1.
UK 1st class: 1 - 2 working days
UK 2nd class: 3 - 5 working days
For international deliveries please contact us via this form or message us at email@example.com for a quote.
Orders (except subscriptions such as PostBooks) will be dispatched within 2 working days.
If you are ordering as a gift let us know and we will not include the receipt. We can also include a handwritten card, please provide message at checkout. We can also gift wrap items for a small extra fee of £2.50.
Please ensure you provide a full delivery address, Golden Hare Books cannot be held responsible for wrongly delivered items due to incorrect/incomplete addresses.
We hope you are happy with your purchase, but if you change your mind you have 14 days from receipt to return or exchange your item. Goods must be unused and in original packaging. We cannot accept returns on gift vouchers, and workshop places are non-refundable. Any customised or special orders are also non-refundable.
To return an item, please send it back to: Golden Hare Books, 68 St Stephen's Street, Edinburgh, EH3 5AQ - or drop off in person.
We recommend you package securely and insure the item for returning by post. We cannot be held responsible for items that go missing or get damaged in the post.
Once we have received the item in good condition we will issue a refund to the original payment method. P&P costs are non-refundable.
If an item you receive is faulty, damaged or poor quality you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt with images. Please send this notification via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we have reviewed your complaint we will replace the item or issue a refund.
