The Reading Habit: Reading Makes You A Better Chef

I’m obsessed with selecting the right book for the right moment.

I let go of switching between fiction and non-fiction.

I let go of limiting my rereads.

I let go of annual reading goals.

(Decembers in particular held no reading joy as I scrambled for the quickest reads).

There was a time when I believed I needed to get through my TBR pile before letting myself add new books. Why buy more when there are already so many on standby? Continue reading The Reading Habit: Reading Makes You A Better Chef

Honey & Co. Middle Eastern cookery demo in aid of Legacy of War Foundation

6.30pm at The Edinburgh New Town Cookery School, 7 Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1JE, in collaboration with @foodbytor

We’re delighted to be running a pop-up bookstall at The Edinburgh New Town Cookery School in collaboration with Middle Eastern cookery sensation Honey & Co., in aid of Legacy of War. Come and join Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich, chef-owners of Middle-Eastern restaurants Honey & Co. and Honey & Smoke in Fitzrovia, London for an evening of good food and good conversation.

Cooking from their latest book Honey & Co. At Home, the couple will demonstrate delicious Middle Eastern dishes that are easy to make and a pleasure to serve. Recipes include harissa and goat’s cheese buns, spinach, egg and filo pie and beautiful pistachio and rose marzipan treats. Sarit and Itamar will serve tasters and answer your burning cookery questions throughout the demo and there will be a chance to buy a signed copy of the book at the end of the night from a Golden Hare Books stall.

Tickets are £25 and include a glass of fizz on arrival. All profits from this event are going to Legacy of War Foundation, a charity that supports civilians affected by conflict. Further information about the charity can be found at
