Valentine’s Day meets Book Giving Day, the perfect opportunity for some creative thinking! So this year, how about swapping chocolates and red roses for a little literary adventure?
In honour of International Book Giving Day we’re adding a little romance to the whole experience of choosing, giving and receiving a book as a gift. There are suggestions for dreamers, romantics, poets and cynics, pendants, feminists, creatives and more – these are Blind Dates for (book)lovers! Our gorgeous brown wrapped books offer readers an opportunity to pick up a brilliant book, a beautiful book, but not necessarily something they’re familiar with – there’s no judging a book by its cover this year.
As a special surprise we’ve also tucked away a couple of Golden Hare vouchers amongst the Blind Dates on display – just a bit of fun, a bit of mystery! Book Giving Day is ultimately dedicated to getting books in the hands of as many children as possible, so we’ve set up a collection and will be giving a pound from every Blind Date sale to one of the campaign’s nominated charities, Room to Read.
Room to Read does fantastic work around the world promoting literacy and gender equality in education and we’re delighted to have an opportunity to support them! You can pick up a book from the expo, or order a copy to be delivered to an Edinburgh loved one on
We can be reached on 0131 629 1396 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
