Rahel and Fenna are are sisters. Their mother Verena, now dealing with breast cancer, raised them all by herself. Rahel, a jazz singer, is pregnant and single but in love with writer Boris with whom she eventually moves in and has a second child. This time, Rahel will experience an unsettling pregnancy, followed by the rejection of the baby and compulsive breastfeeding, while strongly missing her independent life as a jazz singer. Meanwhile, Fenna expects a child from Luc, a man who can turn from charming hippy to aggressor in a heartbeat. Both ironic and dramatic, 'What Concerns Us' is a fast-paced blunt depiction of pregnancy, sex, maternity and relationships through the lives of three women.
