Twenty years after being married to King Lot of Orkney, Anna Pendragon - sister of the famed Arthur - returns to Carelon, carrying the crown of her now-dead husband. She finds herself yet again a pawn in greater machinations, facing the demons of her childhood: Merlin, her sisters and the man she once loved.
