About Hollow's Hauntology Discover the hidden world of the supernatural and unexplained in this definitive guide to the world’s darkest wonders.

Hollow’s Hauntology is a richly illustrated compendium that uncovers how 80 legendary beings – from blood-drinking revenants to shape-shifting gods – have shaped storytelling across history. Across eight immersive chapters, the book explores humanity’s oldest fears and fascinations, including:

The global origins of vampires, revealing how figures from the štrigon of Croatia to China’s jiangshi emerged from shared anxieties around death and disease.

The deep psychological roots of animal transformation, showing how werewolves, shapeshifters and divine hybrids embody our shifting relationship with nature and identity.

How demonology evolved, documenting the political, religious and cultural forces that transformed gods into demons and reshaped moral cosmologies.

Formless, non-corporeal entities and how these uncanny beings without faces or bodies have haunted collective memory.

Forgotten and contested deities, charting how divine figures change as cultures shift.

Through this, paranormal psychologist and TV and radio presenter, Evelyn Hollow, brings a uniquely rigorous perspective, blending psychological methodology with cultural analysis.

She reveals how etymology shapes belief, how folklore reflects collective psychology and how overlooked myths still echo through modern culture.    Hollow’s Hauntology invites you to discover what it means to be human beneath a vast and haunted sky.
