About Scotland's People Scotland is a place packed with stories, but they aren’t all of ghosts, kelpies or legendary warriors; it's the tales of real people who once walked these streets or sailed those lochs that connect us with the past. Follow on the trail of Robert the Bruce as he fought to reclaim Scotland’s freedom or retrace Mary Queen of Scots' steps to her tragic fate. Track down the stories of lesser-known heroes like William Kirkcaldy or Agnes Randolph.

Following the locations tied to these stories allows you to step into their shoes and give you an incredible glimpse into Scotland’s remarkable past.

About Graeme Johncock Graeme Johncock is a storyteller with a passion for Scotland’s history and folklore. He has a degree in history from Aberdeen and his goal is to share stories from the past in an engaging way, making them more accessible to a wider audience and in turn help them appreciate their travel around Scotland more. This technique has gained him a large, dedicated social media following and allowed him to work with well-known Scottish brands such as Hidden Scotland, Visit Scotland and many local tourist boards.
